One More Publisher's Workshop!

I will be doing not one, but two publisher's workshops next weekend. Catch the first one on Friday, October 28th from 4:00 to 5:00, or if you can't make it I will be conducting another workshop on Saturday, October 29th from 2:30-3:30. Be there or be square!

Nouns that are countable and uncountable

Is food countable or uncountable?

The word food can be either countable or uncountable. When talking about food generally, it is uncountable. Observe the following examples:

I love food.
Farmers grow food.
Great food makes people happy.

When food is referred to by type, it is countable. For example,

Spaghetti is a food.
The supermarket down the street sells many foods. (Many types of food)
Ice cream is not a healthy food.

Just published! My book of games and activities about English articles is now available for all on Amazon. Now that it is complete I don't know what to do with myself. I think I'll do absolutely nothing for a month...it's going to be great!
